This week my baby boy was 7 months old...I cannot believe it. Rhodes, you are such a fun, sweet and precious baby. I love, love, love your toothless grin. It warms my heart. You are SO ready for real food. You watch everything anybody eats. I did give you some baked potato tonight and I truly think you were in heaven. You are very mobile. I can't leave you alone, because the one time I did you scooted yourself under your pack and play and all I could see was your head (hopefully no one will call the authorities.) You love baby food--everything except green peas. Nana says you act like someone is poisoning you and she WILL not be a part of it, so you don't eat green peas. One thing I love more than anything is how your little face lights up when Sissy Lou( aka Ellie) walks in the room. You watch for her and no matter what she says, you think it is hysterical. She can make you laugh when no one else can. You also pull her hair, but I don't think it is on purpose, or is it??? I love you sweet boy and I can't wait to see what the next month brings.

The Character part of this blog comes from First Baptist hosting Characters for a Cure. Ellie and I --along with every mother and father in KO with a child under 6-- went to see Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Buzz and Woody and a whole slew of princesses. Ellie asked were these "real" or people in costumes? My answer is always the same, We should never ask if they are for real, because if they are, they may not bring you toys--wait that is my answer about Santa--my answer for this was, "I am pretty sure they are. We get there and Ellie decides they aren't "real", but she is OK with it. We get our picture made with everyone except the princesses, because she thinks that would be weird to take a picture with a girl dressed up like a princess. I am so OK with that, because by this point I am FRAZZLED...Who cares, we are just there to have fun and tomorrow it will not matter that you didn't want to make your picture with the not "real" princesses. Not to take anything away from the princesses they were very pretty and did a wonderful job.
They were also selling Disney paraphernalia and did my daughter choose the tiara? Did she choose anything princessey? No mam, she chose the Buzz Light Year water shooter. Again, will this matter tomorrow? Nope. Was she happier than a clam with the water shooter? Yes she was. And by the way, Ellie you will always be my princess- whether you want to or not!
