When Did I Get a First Grader??

It seems like yesterday that I was blogging because I was so sad that Ellie started kindergarten and now she is through.  It has been a great year and she has learned so much.  Her teacher, Lynn Hathcock was wonderful!  Ellie can now read and tell time and I know so much more than I could do at this age.

Playing Catch-Up

My last post was about Thanksgiving and here we are almost at Easter.  I guess I will hit the highlights...

Christmas:  Christmas was a lot of fun this year.  Ellie took every catalog that came in the mail and circled 99% of everything that was in them and declared she must have that for Christmas...  This was every night when she got into bed--out came the pen and the circling began!  Ellie's big gift from Santa was an electric scooter.  Her mother wasn't too sure about this, but it has been fine so far.  She also got a drum set...Santa decided that you are only young once!

Rhodes was hysterical at Christmas.  At my mom's, he opened a tractor which he loved, then he went and got his Puffs and sat and ate and watched everyone else.  He wanted no part of any presents after that.  Christmas morning he wondered over to his Mickey Mouse 4-wheeler sat on it then he proceeded to his snack cabinet and got his puffs and sat there and watched all the action-he was done..

Mama and I took the kids to Canton to see the lights and it was so much fun and SO cold.  Rhodes loved the lights and Ellie liked riding in the carriage.
